(Representative image) IMD predicts widespread rain and thunderstorms across multiple states

NEW DELHI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms across several states in the coming days, with heavy to very heavy rainfall likely in Delhi, parts of Odisha and fairly widespread rain expected in Uttarakhand.

Delhi weather

Delhi is likely to receive rain, with the wet spell expected to continue until September 16.

Odisha weather

Odisha is likely to receive rain and thunderstorms with yellow warnings in place for several districts. Some parts of the state may receive heavy to very heavy rainfall through September 13.

Uttarakhand weather

Uttarakhand is also expected to see fairly widespread rainfall and thunderstorms, with enhanced monsoon activity likely to continue until September 14.

Rajasthan weather

Rainfall activity is likely to increase in parts of Rajasthan from September 13, particularly across the Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, Udaipur and Ajmer divisions.The IMD has forecast moderate to heavy rainfall at isolated places in the Kota and Udaipur divisions and adjoining areas on September 13 and 14.Parts of western Rajasthan, including the Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions, are also likely to receive light to moderate rainfall at isolated places from September 13 to 16.

Bihar weather

Bihar is likely to receive light to moderate rainfall at some places in the coming days. Heavy rainfall is also possible at one or two places, according to the Meteorological Service Centre.

IMD’s latest forecast

The IMD’s latest forecast indicates continued rainfall activity across several states over the next few days, with Odisha, Uttarakhand and parts of Rajasthan likely to see significant rain. Monsoon activity is also expected to remain active in several parts of the states.
