Lucknow: After Tuesday’s heavy thundershowers, light intermittent rain continued overnight till Wednesday morning, keeping temperatures down and the weather pleasant.Similar conditions are likely to persist in the city on Thursday, with a few spells of rain or thundershowers expected, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre.City recorded a maximum temperature of 30.5 degree Celsius on Wednesday, three degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature settled at 25.2 degree Celsius , 0.2 degrees below normal. The relative humidity was between 80% to 98%.The overnight rainfall was 35 mm till 8.30 am. Later, 2.4 mm till 5.30pm.For Thursday, the weather office has forecast an overcast sky becoming generally cloudy, with a few spells of rain or thundershowers.Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain around 31 and 25 degree Celsius, respectively.RMC senior scientist Mohammad Danish said light to moderate rain is likely to continue across UP including Lucknow over the next few days because of low-pressure system over Odisha and West Bengal. Rains and cloudy sky will keep temperatures below normal and provide relief from heat and humidity.
