Nagpur: Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has bagged the ‘best PSU partner award’ of the ministry of corporate affairs. The award was granted in recognition of contribution towards Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS).The award was presented to the company’s director (HR and Finance) Bikram Ghosh at the hands of the secretary of the ministry of corporate affairs, Pallavi Jain.Ghosh said that WCL has offered 150 internship opportunities across key technical disciplines—45 for Diploma in Mining Engineering, 25 for Graduation in Mining Engineering, and 80 for Graduation in Electrical Engineering/ITI Electrician.He added that WCL has been playing an important role in creating opportunities for the youth living in interior coalfield areas with limited access to training, and career opportunities.
