Prayagraj: Senior corporator Meenu Tiwari on Sunday asserted that the collapse of a deep drain’s wall near the Rasulabad EWS Colony, caused by the rains, has led to waterlogging inside Ambedkar Park in Mehandauri. This has caused significant inconvenience to people who use the park’s open gym facilities.The officials of Prayagraj Municipal Corporation had previously been informed during a public hearing that the drains should be thoroughly cleaned—right down to the base—before the monsoon season. However, the officials concerned failed to pay adequate attention to the task. A request is also being made to the Municipal Commissioner to take proactive measures to resolve the waterlogging issue so that the affected residents no longer have to grapple with this problem.
