Vadodara: A 50-year-old watchman was found murdered at a construction site on Raliyati Road in Dahod district on Wednesday.The victim, identified as Manu Parmar, had recently taken up the job and was staying alone in a tin shed at the site. His body was found lying in a pool of blood in an open area when workers arrived in the morning.Dahod town police rushed to the spot after being alerted. Prima facie investigation suggests that Parmar was killed after being struck on the head with a blunt object. Police said the body was found with a towel wrapped around the waist.Forensic experts were called to the scene, and police have begun scanning CCTV footage from the surrounding area to identify the assailants.Parmar is survived by two sons. One of them told police that his father’s phone had been switched off since early morning. The mobile phone was not found either on the body or in his room at the site.
