RANCHI: A pregnant monkey barged into a liquor shop on the outskirts of Ranchi, attacked a staff member and then settled down for a rather unusual nap after reportedly drinking a quarter of vodka.The incident took place at a liquor shop near Ormanjhi Block Chowk. A video from the shop shows the monkey lying peacefully on top of some boxes, apparently asleep.It briefly opens its eyes when the person filming approaches, before closing them again.The video then pans to a quarter bottle of vodka, with the person behind the camera saying the monkey had consumed it.According to those at the shop, the monkey had entered the premises the previous day and attacked a staff member, who narrowly escaped. It later drank from the vodka bottle before remaining inside the shop for hours.The monkey was still seen sleeping inside the shop when the video was recorded.
