Chandigarh: The weather in Chandigarh during April is expected to remain largely moderate, with a mix of comfortable daytime temperatures, warmer nights and chances of rainfall, according to the latest outlook. As per the forecast by the India Meteorological Department, maximum temperatures in Chandigarh are likely to stay normal to slightly below normal for most parts of the month. However, occasional spells of above-normal daytime heat cannot be ruled out, as parts of northwest India may witness intermittent temperature spikes. In contrast, minimum temperatures are expected to remain above normal, indicating warmer nights across the city. This trend could lead to some discomfort, especially during late April when summer conditions begin to intensify. The outlook also points towards a higher likelihood of heatwave days over northwest India, including Chandigarh, during the broader April-June period. While April may not see prolonged heatwave conditions, short-duration heat spells are possible. On the rainfall front, Chandigarh is likely to benefit from normal to above-normal rainfall activity during April. Increased cloud cover and intermittent showers may provide temporary relief from rising temperatures and help maintain relatively balanced weather conditions.Meanwhile, the maximum temperature today was 32°C, which is the normal temperature of the day. While the minimum temperature was 15.8°C, which is three degrees below normal.Partly cloudy sky with light rain and thunderstorm is expected from April 3 to 6 in the city.
