Prayagraj: A wanted criminal was injured and arrested after an encounter in Fatehpur late Wednesday night, police said.The police recovered a country made pistol of 0.315 bore, two used and one live cartridges, and Rs 250 cash from Zeeshan Khan. He was admitted to the district hospital.Police said a team of Thariyaon police was conducting routine checks near Taxari Buzurg village road when they noticed a suspicious man. The cops signaled him to stop, but he tried to escape.However, when the police team surrounded him, he opened fire. The cops retaliated, resulting in an injury to Zeeshan.Police said Zeeshan, 24, a resident of Khaga, has 12 criminal cases pending against him in Fatehpur and Kaushambi.Meanwhile, Kotwali police have arrested a man– Aman Sayyad of Uttari Khelhar– on the charges of stalking a woman. The miscreant also threatened the woman of dire consequences. The video of the episode has gone viral on social media.
