Hyderabad: Fintech infrastructure startup Viyona Fintech has received approval from the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) to operate as a customer operating unit, enabling the fintech infrastructure startup to offer BBPS-powered bill payment services across India.The certification will allow VIYONA to support payments for electricity, water, gas, broadband, mobile recharges, DTH subscriptions, insurance premiums, loan EMIs, educational fees and other approved biller categories. It will also enable banks, NBFCs, fintech companies, enterprises and govt organisations to integrate bill payment services through Viyona’s platform and provide secure digital payment experiences to their customers.Ravindranath Yarlagadda, founder and CEO, Viyona Fintech, said digital payments have become central to daily life, and demand is rising for scalable and interoperable financial infrastructure. He said the BBPS COU certification would help banks, fintechs, enterprises and billers deliver seamless bill payment services at scale while giving users a more convenient and trusted way to manage routine payments.The approval adds to Viyona’s existing NPCI certifications, including UPI Switch for issuer and acquirer services, IMPS, Banking Connect, BOU and eKYC Setu. The company said the expanded credentials strengthen its position as a full-stack payments technology provider serving banks, billers and financial institutions nationwide.
