Jaipur: Sodala police have initiated action against a woman after a video showing her vandalising a motorcycle following a minor accident went viral on social media.Deputy commissioner of police (south) Rajarshi Raj said the accused, identified as Kaushar Bano, was involved in the incident on March 23 near 22 Godam Puliya under Sodala police station limits.According to police, the accident occurred when a scooter ahead of a motorcycle applied sudden brakes, triggering a chain collision involving a rental bike. The woman, who was riding the rental bike, sustained minor injuries.Police said the woman allegedly turned aggressive after the collision and demanded compensation, claiming her clothes were damaged. She then smashed the motorcycle using a helmet and later a stone, as seen in the viral video.During the inquiry, the woman admitted her involvement and submitted a written apology to the police. Officials said her identity was established through the video footage.Police added that the motorcycle owner declined to lodge a formal complaint.Officials have taken preventive action against the woman under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, citing apprehension of breach of public peace.
