Vadodara: Several talukas in Panchmahal, Narmada and Chhota Udepur districts received heavy rain on Friday, triggering flooding and waterlogging in several areas. Narmada received more than 13 inches of rain, inundating several villages. Around 30 families were shifted to safer locations, while 10 people were rescued by authorities from different talukas in the district.Garudeshwar taluka witnessed heavy rain, resulting in waterlogging and damage to roads at some places. In Chhota Udepur, several low-lying villages were marooned, prompting rescue operations. A young man was caught amid the swelling waters of the Ashwin river in Naswadi taluka, but an NDRF team reached the spot and rescued him. Some villages in Kalol taluka of Panchmahal also received heavy rain early in the morning.
