CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister C Joseph Vijay is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home minister Amit Shah on Wednesday.Vijay will fly to Delhi in a special aircraft on Wednesday morning. Govt sources said the meeting with Modi is a courtesy call. “It is scheduled for 4.30pm. As of now, only the meetings with the Prime Minister and the home minister are confirmed,” a senior official said.Vijay may stay in Delhi to meet allies the next day. On reports that he may also meet Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, a senior Congress leader said, “Nothing is confirmed as of now.”This will be Vijay’s first visit to Delhi since becoming chief minister on May 10 after his party won 108 of the 234 assembly seats. He won the confidence motion with the support of former DMK allies, Congress (5 MLAs), VCK (2), CPI (2), CPM (2) and IUML (2), as well as 25 rebel AIADMK MLAs. The allies joined the TVK cabinet last week.
