As part of the preparations, the civic body’s CNC department-run Krupa Mandir will prepare special Holika Dahan kits comprising cow dung cakes and sticks. Each kit, priced at Rs 2,500, will also include an online donation receipt towards cow service. The kits will be delivered to the designated representatives of the selected societies and institutions one or two days prior to the festival.AMC launched the Vedic Holi concept in March 2024, when celebrations were organised at 11 locations. The initiative expanded to around 42 locations in March 2025, and will now more than double in scale this year.Over the past two years, the civic body has promoted Holika Dahan in its Vedic form as an environmentally responsible alternative. Officials said the campaign seeks to combine tradition with sustainability, enabling citizens to celebrate Holi in an eco-friendly manner while reinforcing cleanliness and environmental awareness across the city.
