Jaipur: The Monsoon Edition of the Doctors Premier Pickleball League (DPPL) concluded successfully, marked by enthusiasm, high spirits, and excellent sportsmanship. Participating doctors showcased their talent and sporting skills across various categories.The event aimed to provide a platform for doctors to engage in sports, recreation, and camaraderie. It was organised here recently by the Medicos Social and Welfare Society. Event chairperson Dr Anil Yadav welcomed the participants, guests, and organising committee members, expressing gratitude to everyone for the event’s success.Dr Ruby and Dr Nikhil attended the closing ceremony as guests of honour, while special guests Dr Siddharth and Dr Naveen Sharma encouraged the players. Dr Sudhanshu and Dr Varun Khanna played pivotal roles in the organising committee to ensure the event’s success. Adarsh Sports, the sports partner for the DPPL Monsoon Edition, provided sports kits as prizes to the winners.League coordinator Dr Harish Bhardwaj shared the results. In the men’s singles (30–45 years) category, Varun Shekhawat emerged as the winner, with Utkarsh Kabra as the runner-up. In the men’s singles (45+) category, Ashish Gupta won the title, while Mahip was the runner-up.In the women’s singles section, Purvi was the winner and Anupama was the runner-up, Arundhati secured the second runner-up position. In the women’s doubles group, the pair of Anupama and Purvi triumphed, while the duo of Vidisha and Shilpa finished as runners-up.In the men’s doubles category, the pair of Bhupesh and Varun reigned supreme, with the duo of Sandeep and Manish finishing as runners-up.The pair of Anshul and Darshan emerged youth champions, while the duo of Utkarsh Pradhan and Varun Khanna placed second.Meanwhile, in the mixed doubles category, the pair of Meenakshi and Anshul claimed the title, with the duo of Bhavya and Varsha finishing as runners-up.Prizes were awarded to the winners and runners-up during the closing ceremony. Dr Anil Yadav stated that DPPL provides doctors with an opportunity to engage in sports and fitness amid their busy professional lives. Congratulating all the players, he added that DPPL would be made even more expansive and engaging in the future.The DPPL Monsoon Edition further strengthened camaraderie, team spirit, and a sense of healthy competition among the doctors, alongside the sporting action.
