Jaipur: Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University will hold a five-day workshop titled “SAN-V-LOG” from Feb 23 to train students in creating Sanskrit-language vlogs for digital platforms such as YouTube. University officials said the initiative aims to link Sanskrit with digital media, marking the first such programme in Rajasthan and the second in India. The move follows PM Narendra Modi’s remarks in Mann Ki Baat last October highlighting Sanskrit’s growing popularity among youth through vlogging.Officials said 50 students from different states will participate in the workshop, where they will interact with academicians, theatre artists, screenwriters, journalists, among others, to understand how to incorporate Sanskrit into day-to-day content and make it accessible.

Vice-chancellor Prof Madan Mohan Jha said, “This workshop will not only empower students technically but will also provide new opportunities for the promotion of the Sanskrit language. This initiative of the university aims to inspire students to be self-reliant and innovative, while integrating tradition and technology.”At the workshop, students will get both theoretical and practical knowledge regarding vlogging.
