Panaji: Anjuna police have registered an FIR against Arjun Singh Rawat, 22, a resident of Uttarakhand, for allegedly taking a sports utility vehicle (SUV) onto Vagator beach to wash it.Rawat allegedly drove a black Toyota Fortuner on March 21 in a rash manner near Estoria Restaurant, taking the vehicle into the water and endangering human life.PI Suraj Gawas said Rawat worked as a caretaker at a guesthouse where tourists were staying. He said the tourists had asked him to wash the vehicle, and Rawat took it to the beach without their knowledge to save time. DySP Nilesh Rane said the FIR was registered on behalf of the state on a complaint by head constable Sandeep Pednekar of Anjuna police station.
