Srinagar, March 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Fencing Association is set to organize the UT-level Fencing Championship from March 28 to March 30, 2026 at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar.

 

The three-day championship will witness participation from talented fencers representing various districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The event aims to promote the sport of fencing in the Union Territory and provide a competitive platform for budding athletes to showcase their skills.

 

Officials from the association stated that the championship will include competitions across different age groups and categories, adhering to national standards. The event is expected to attract a large number of players, coaches, and sports enthusiasts.

 

The association has been actively working to develop fencing at the grassroots level, and such championships play a vital role in identifying and nurturing young talent. Winners of the tournament will get opportunities to represent Jammu and Kashmir at national-level competitions.
