T’puram: CM V D Satheesan on Wednesday replied to the controversy surrounding the mention of his father’s name during the swearing-in ceremony, saying there was nothing unusual in it. Satheesan rejected all allegations and said it was natural to use his full name and that the same format is used in official documents, including passport. Satheesan said his parents had passed away even before he became an MLA and that he had used his father’s full name to remember them. He added that he had also wished to mention his mother’s name but did not get an opportunity to do so, which saddened him. He said he mentions his parents’ names with pride.
