A US man has said he successfully sold his house for close to $1 million after using ChatGPT to guide the entire process, reports New York Times. Robert Levine, a Miami resident, used the AI tool instead of hiring a real estate agent and managed to close the deal within five days. Leavine said he relied on ChatGPT for everything, from pricing and marketing to negotiations and paperwork. As per the report, Levine said the tool even advised him on small home improvements that could increase the value of the property, helping him secure a higher price than expected.
Florida man used AI for pricing, marketing and sale
Robert Levine said he wanted to test whether AI could handle the full home-selling process. Levine said he used ChatGPT to plan pricing, prepare the listing and create marketing content. The AI tool also suggested him the best time to list the property that helped attract buyers quickly. Within three days of listing, Levine received five offers and finalised the deal in less than a week.
Levine said ChatGPT recommended repainting some parts of the house to increase its value. “We repainted a couple of rooms in the house because ChatGPT said that’s where you’re going to get the biggest return on investment,” Levine said. The home was eventually sold for $954,800, which was about $100,000 higher than estimates given by local real estate agents. Levine said using AI helped him save money on agent commissions and gave him more confidence in setting the price.
