Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has urged the Telangana State Election Commission (TGSEC) to take action against Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy, alleging that he campaigned during the prohibited 48-hour silence period and held meetings and voter interactions after the campaign deadline. The BRS leaders also accused him of misusing his political position and influence to sway voters and creating an atmosphere of pressure and inducement among the electorate.BRS leaders Kuruva Vijay Kumar, Bommera Rammurthy and others met the State Election Commissioner (SEC) on Tuesday, seeking stringent penal action against the MLA for violating the model code of conduct, including prosecution, censure and any other statutory consequences deemed appropriate.They requested the SEC to consider disqualification or debarment of the MLA from election-related activities, citing deliberate misuse of position and repeated defiance of Election Commission orders.In their representation, the BRS leaders mentioned that the MLA toured multiple wards of Gadwal town, including Ward No. 17, and also visited apartments and residential colonies, specifically Balaji Apartments in Bheem Nagar, within Gadwal municipality.The leaders urged the SEC to ensure a free and fair election in the municipality on Wednesday.
