Guwahati: Manipur’s Calvin Ginminlien Zou emerged as the topper from the northeast in the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025, results of which were declared Friday. A total of 10 candidates cleared the exams from the region.Of the nine, six are from Manipur and four are from Assam.

Zou emerged as the region topper with AIR 134. The other successful candidates from the state are Wahengbam Renudhar Singh (AIR 652), Th Vapani John (800), Rahul Moirangthem (AIR 824), Liangousang Vualnam (AIR 868) and Ningthoujam Rishikant Singh (AIR 903).From Assam, Abhigyan Khound secured the highest rank with AIR 187, while Liza Garga (303), Abhigyan Jyoti Bora (AIR 570) and Bhaswata Saikia (AIR 777) also made the list.At the national level, Anuj Agnihotri topped the exam, followed by Rajeshwari Suve M (AIR 2) and Akansh Dhull (AIR 3).The UPSC said 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment against 1,087 vacancies, while the candidature of 348 remains provisional.The Civil Services Examination, conducted annually in three stages — prelims, mains and interview — recruits officers for the IAS, IPS, IFS and other central services.
