Prayagraj: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is set to announce recruitment results for more than 5,000 posts over the next one-and-a-half months, potentially clearing a major backlog of selections across govt schools, colleges and other departments.The roadmap was discussed at a meeting chaired by chief secretary in Lucknow earlier this month, where commission officials outlined deadlines for several recruitment exams.The biggest chunk will come from LT Grade teacher recruitment in govt secondary schools. Results for 4,917 posts are scheduled to be declared in phases by Sept 30. The results for 58 commerce and 188 Sanskrit posts are expected by Aug 30, followed by science and home science results for 1,791 posts and mathematics for 1,240 posts by Sept 15.The result for 924 biology posts is scheduled for Sept 25, while the final result for 716 Hindi posts will be declared by Sept 30.The LT Grade recruitment is being closely watched by candidates as it covers thousands of teaching vacancies in govt secondary schools.The commission will also declare the result for recruitment to 21 principal posts in govt polytechnics by Sept 7.Another major recruitment drive is for 1,253 assistant professor posts across 28 subjects in govt degree colleges. The preliminary examination result is expected by the end of Aug, while the main examination is scheduled between Sept 15 and Oct 1. The final selection is expected to be completed by the end of Dec.For PCS 2025, the commission has fixed Oct 8 as the deadline for announcing the main examination result. As many as 11,403 candidates appeared for the main exam held from March 29 to April 1 for 814 posts.The commission will also declare the main examination results for 106 assistant conservator of forest/range forest officer posts and 182 assistant prosecution officer posts by Nov 30. The preliminary examination result for eight assistant town planner posts is expected by Sept 15.
