Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has rejected the applications of 888 candidates of the Hindi subject and 117 candidates of Music for the main examination of the LT Grade (Assistant Teacher/Trained Graduate Teacher) Recruitment-2025 after scrutiny of their documents and eligibility.The commission on Monday released the roll numbers of all rejected candidates along with the reasons for cancellation. The rejection comes after the declaration of the preliminary examination results, reducing the number of eligible candidates for the Hindi main examination.The preliminary examination for 690 Hindi posts was held on Dec 6, 2025. Of the 1,29, 511 registered candidates, 82,007 appeared for the test. The results, declared on Feb 5 this year, shortlisted 8,162 candidates for the main examination. However, following verification of applications and supporting documents, 888 of these candidates are now ineligible.According to the commission, the highest number of rejections — 294 — was on account of candidates not possessing the mandatory qualification of having passed Intermediate with Sanskrit as a subject or the Uttar Madhyama examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Shiksha Parishad. Another 36 candidates were found ineligible as they did not have Hindi as a subject in their bachelor ‘s degree.In addition, the applications of 282 candidates were rejected for failing to complete the online application process within the stipulated deadline. Sixty candidates were disqualified for not submitting the hard copy of their online application to the commission by April 24.The commission also cancelled 70 applications under the sports quota. Of these, 40 candidates submitted invalid certificates claiming outstanding sports achievements, while 30 failed to furnish the required documents altogether.The commission has advised candidates to check the detailed list of rejected applications and the reasons for cancellation available on its official website.
