Times News NetworkKanpur: UP team won as many as 8 medals including one gold in the National Ice Skating championship organized by Special Olympic India in Dehradun recently.The event was organized at Himadri Ice Rink Maharana Pratap Sports College Dehradun Uttarakhand. Shubh Ashish of UP special skates team won a gold medal in 111 mts race and a bronze medal in 333 mtrs race events. Adarsh Mehrotra won a silver and a bronze medal in 111 mtrs and 222 mtrs race events respectively.Among girls, Raina Singh won a silver in 111 mtrs race, Cherry Singh won a silver rin 333 mtrs and a bronze in 500 mtrs race event. Parth Khandelwal in the 500 mtrs race event stood at fourth place.The officials of Cantonment Board Kanpur and principal Shikha Agarwal and others greeted the team for winning 8 medals.…………………Felicitated: The sports Hub (TSH) on Tuesday felicitated its table tennis players who had won 10 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze medals in the 3rd District Ranking TT championship in a simple function on Tuesday.The gold medal winners were Shubh Tiwari, Adhiraj Majumdar, Ashutosh Gupta, Satyam Giri, Vedansh, Aditya Raj, Daksh, Srajan Mahajan and Sakshi Sonkar.………………………Umpiring exam: Kanpur Cricket Association will organize its district level umpiring and scoring examination next month. Examination forms for umpiring and scoring are available at KCA office and could be obtained from 11.30 am to 7.30 pm.According to Kaushal Kumar Singh, secretary, KCA, only Kanpur candidates could appear in these exams. The last date for submitting the exam forms is July 25.
