Times News NetworkKanpur: Around 83 teachers appeared for interviews on Monday for providing free, high-quality coaching to talented youths of the district preparing for various competitive examinations under the Chief Minister’s Abhyudaya Yojana.The candidates, possessing expertise in different subjects, were evaluated during the interview process conducted under the chairmanship of Chief Development Officer Abhinav Jain. Regional Higher Education Officer and District Social Welfare Officer Birpal were also present during the interviews.According to the officials, a total of 101 applications were received for 55 teaching positions under the scheme. Of these, 83 candidates appeared for the interviews, while 18 remained absent.The selected teachers will provide coaching to aspirants preparing for various competitive examinations under the state government’s flagship initiative aimed at supporting meritorious students through free guidance and academic assistance.The Chief Development Officer stated that the objective of the ‘Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana’ is to enable economically disadvantaged yet talented students to succeed in prestigious competitive examinations—such as IAS, PCS, JEE, NEET, and SSC—by providing them with quality guidance.He directed the officials concerned to complete the selection process promptly ensuring full transparency and quality and to start the coaching classes soon, so that the students’ valuable time is not wasted.He stated that in the district, free coaching for IAS and PCS (Civil Services) will be conducted at the Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University campus in Kanpur, NEET coaching at the Government Ashram-style School in Kalyanpur, and SSC coaching at DBS Degree College, Kanpur.
