Lucknow: To strengthen educational infrastructure and student welfare, govt sanctioned Rs 1.50 crore for expansion and improvement of basic facilities in 15 Sarvodaya schools run by social welfare department.The funds will be utilised to upgrade infrastructure in Sarvodaya schools located in Bareilly, Kaushambi, Ayodhya, Lalitpur, Hardoi, Azamgarh, Ballia, Prayagraj, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Banda, Chitrakoot, Jalaun and Rae Bareli. Officials said the move is aimed at creating a safer, more modern and student-friendly educational environment in these residential institutions.Under the project, hostel facilities in the schools will be strengthened, while repair and maintenance work will be undertaken in smart classrooms and laboratories. Govt will also improve essential services such as drinking water, sanitation and other basic amenities to enhance students’ living and learning conditions.Sports infrastructure will be another key focus area. Renovation and upgradation of sports complexes will provide students with better opportunities for physical development and sporting activities alongside academic pursuits.The initiative is designed not only to improve school buildings and facilities but also to support the holistic development of students. With access to modern resources, improved laboratories and technology-enabled classrooms, students will gain exposure to contemporary teaching methods, digital learning and experiential education, said a govt spokesperson.
