Dimapur: Nagaland is expected to experience unstable weather conditions characterised by scattered thunderstorms, lightning activity, and intermittent rainfall, with localised heavy rainfall in a few districts till March 15.Several districts of the state are expected to experience localised thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light to moderate rainfall.The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), in its weather update, said the districts likely to be affected include Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha, Mokokchung, Longleng, Mon, Zunheboto, Tuensang, Peren and Phek.Isolated rainfall is likely to occur at a few locations, particularly in the districts of Longleng, Mokokchung and Wokha.According to the update, intermittent light to moderate rainfall may also occur in districts such as Kohima, Mokokchung, Mon, Tuensang, Peren, and Noklak during the same period.The NSDMA urged residents and authorities concerned to remain cautious and stay updated with weather advisories during this period.It also urged the public to exercise caution to avoid any eventualities during this period.The NSDMA directed all the district disaster management authorities and other line departments to remain on high alert to safeguard lives and property during this season.
