Hyderabad: Telangana witnessed widespread unseasonal rainfall on Tuesday, with several districts recording moderate to heavy showers. According to the Telangana Development Planning Society, Wyra in Khammam district recorded the highest rainfall among listed stations at 28.8 mm, followed by Rajoli in Jogulamba Gadwal (23.5 mm) and Ieeja (22 mm). Other areas, including Venkatapur (21.3 mm) and Madhira (10.3 mm), also received notable rainfall.In north Telangana, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district recorded a much higher 75.8 mm, indicating intense localised activity. Several districts reported rainfall exceeding 50 mm, highlighting the widespread impact.Parts of Hyderabad, especially in the northern and western regions, received moderate showers, bringing brief relief from rising temperatures but causing minor disruptions during peak hours. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast continued unstable weather across the state. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely at isolated places.Districts under alert include Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sirisilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, and Medchal-Malkajgiri.Officials have advised residents to remain cautious during thunderstorm activity.
