Jaipur: The body of an unidentified man bearing multiple sharp-edged injuries was found in a forested area near Harmada Wednesday, prompting police to register a murder case.Police said local residents spotted the body and alerted authorities. Senior officers, along with a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), reached the spot and collected evidence.A preliminary examination revealed multiple injuries caused by a sharp-edged weapon. However, police are yet to establish the identity of the deceased.Investigators are scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas, analysing forensic evidence and questioning local residents to identify the victim and reconstruct the sequence of events leading to the killing.An official said police received information about a body lying in the forest, following which officers rushed to the spot and secured the area for forensic examination. He said the exact cause of death would be confirmed after the post-mortem examination and further legal action would be taken based on the findings.
