Unidentified man’s body parts found near Bogadi Lake

Mysuru: Mysuru district police found themselves in a piquant situation after finding the head of a man, a palm, and a foot near the Bogadi Lake area.Police launched a search to find other missing parts of the body in the region but to no avail. The identity of the person is yet to be traced.Mysuru SP N Vishnuvardhana said an investigation was launched to first identify the person, whose head was found along with one palm and a foot from the ankle. The other body parts are missing.According to our investigation, he appears to be a man of around 35 years old, but his identity is unknown, the SP stated. The public tipped off the cops after noticing the body parts of the person on Sunday. An investigation team on Monday searched for other missing parts but didn’t find any. The parts of the bodies, including the head, were in a putrefying state and partially beyond recognition, he explained.To a query, Vishnuvardhana said, as of now, we believe that all parts of the man’s body belong to one victim, but we will confirm them only after DNA tests.Meanwhile, police are checking records of all missing persons in the region and across the state to get clues. Jayapura police are investigating from various angles, and their primary probe is focusing on the identity of the head of the person.
