Madhepura: A six-year-old UKG student was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the washroom of a private residential convent school at Khadi village under Murliganj police station in Madhepura district on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Anand Prem, son of Ramanand Yadav, a resident of neighbouring Parmanandpur village under the same police station area.According to police, the child’s body was found tied with a pipe near the washroom. The school owner allegedly took the body to the victim’s residence and then fled. Shocked family members later brought the body back to the school, demanding to know the circumstances leading to the child’s death.Quoting two students — Manish Kumar and Akash Kumar — the family claimed that two unidentified persons had entered the school premises around midnight and allegedly took the child towards the washroom. A rope was found tied around the victim’s neck.On receiving information, trainee SDPO-cum-Murliganj SHO Nurul Haque reached the spot along with police personnel and took stock of the situation. The body was sent to Sadar hospital, Madhepura, for postmortem. “The case is being investigated from multiple angles,” he added.
