Prayagraj: United Institute of Management-FUGS, Naini, Prayagraj, has received affiliation to offer two Apprenticeship-Embedded Degree Programmes (AEDP) — BBA (Data Analytics and Business Intelligence) and BCA (Data Science and Machine Learning), in addition to its regular BBA and BCA courses.Principal DK Tiwari said the institute has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with Board of Apprenticeship Training (Northern Region), Ministry of Education, for the programmes. Under the AEDP model, students will receive academic instruction during the initial semesters and undergo a full-time, stipend-based industry apprenticeship in the final semester.The apprenticeship will provide students with practical corporate experience, exposure to emerging technologies and industry-oriented skills before graduation, improving their employment prospects, he said.Tiwari said AEDP programmes are currently offered by only a select number of colleges across the country. Under Prof Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University, Prayagraj, only two colleges have received permission to run such programmes, with UIM-FUGS being one of them.He said the new programmes align with National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Skill India Mission by integrating academic learning with industry experience.
