Kanpur: Two youths suffered bullet injuries during a clash at a wedding ceremony in Hasanganj police station area of Unnao, late on Saturday night. They were admitted to trauma centre in Lucknow in a critical condition, said police.The incident occurred around 11pm when some baraatis clashed over a dispute during a ritual. Police have registered a case against three people, including a BJP member. The wedding procession of Pradeep, son of Ramswaroop of Bakshikheda, reached Amritlal’s place at Ajmakheda, a village of Adampur Bhashi. During the agwani ceremony, an argument erupted among the baraatis which soon turned violent. Some people uprooted bamboo sticks from the field and attacked each other. Meanwhile, a youth opened fire injuring Akash (25), son of Ramchandra Lodhi, and Shiva (24), son of Virendra Lodhi, both residents of Navai in Ajgain police station area. On being informed, police reached the spot and took the injured to community health centre from where they were referred to trauma centre in Lucknow. In a complaint to police, Akash’s brother Vikas stated that Dharmendra Rajput, son of Ramgopal, Karan alias Jalaski, and Kapil, son of Raghunath, both residents of Bakshikheda, along with some unknown persons, opened fire from a pistol during the dance and fled the scene. CO Arvind Chaurasia said that on the basis of the complaint, a case was registered against three persons along with some unknown people. Search for the accused was underway. tnn
