Mangaluru: Kavoor police booked two youths after finding them under the influence of a narcotic substance during a late-night patrol Friday.According to police, ASI Ramanna Shetty was on night rounds within Kavoor police station limits when, around 1.30am, he noticed two persons standing suspiciously in a public place near a car showroom at Kulur. On questioning, their speech appeared incoherent, raising suspicion of substance use.The youths identified themselves as Nelson John Aroza, 24, a resident of Kulashekar, and Anveeth, 19, a resident of Jeppu Kudupadi. Both admitted to consuming a narcotic substance.They were taken to a hospital for medical examination, where the attending doctor confirmed through tests that both were positive for marijuana consumption. Police registered a case.
