Jaipur: City police on Thursday arrested two more suspects in the alleged harassment of a Japanese tourist near Jaigarh Fort earlier this week, taking the total number of accused in custody to four.The arrested men have been identified as Arshad Khan from Ramganj and Sahil Khan from Balaji Ka Rasta in Ghat Gate. Officials said both had been on the run and were nabbed after sustained tracking through CCTV footage and technical surveillance.The incident occurred on Sunday around 8am when the tourist, who had arrived in Rajasthan a few days earlier, was walking along a relatively isolated stretch near Jaigarh Fort in the Amber area. Police said five youths intercepted her, misbehaved and outraged her modesty. The woman raised an alarm and ran towards a nearby security guard, who alerted police. The accused fled before teams could reach the spot.A case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita was registered at Amber police station. Investigators scanned footage from over 50 CCTV cameras across Amber, Jaigarh Fort routes and connecting roads to Jaipur to identify the suspects.Deputy commissioner of police (north) Karan Sharma said earlier arrests included Ameenudhin, 24, and a minor. “A dedicated team was formed to track the accused. By analysing CCTV footage and tracing vehicles used, we were able to identify and arrest them,” he said.Police said efforts are on to arrest the remaining accused.
