Udupi: Police Wednesday arrested two more persons for allegedly transferring money and assisting those involved in the murder of businessman David D’Souza in Mudrangadi, Kaup taluk.The arrested are Chirag Poojary, 26, and Mohammed Irshad, 43, both residents of Yermal in Thenka village, Kaup taluk, SP Hariram Shankar said.D’Souza, owner of Prince Enterprises, was shot dead in Mudrangadi around 3.45pm on Aug 7. According to police, the assailants arrived on a motorcycle, and the pillion rider allegedly shot D’Souza in the head with a pistol.A murder case was registered at Shirva police station. Police had earlier arrested three accused.Further investigation revealed that Poojary and Irshad had allegedly helped transfer money for the crime and assisted the accused. The investigation is on going, police said.
