Patna: Two children died and around 12 others were injured after a flag carried during a Kalash Yatra came in contact with a high-tension wire in West Champaran on Sunday. The procession was travelling from Sasaram village to Khatauri village in Bagaha.The victims were identified as Sarvesh Kumar, 12, and Neeraj Kumar, 13, both residents of Sasaram.The injured were admitted to Ramnagar primary health centre, while one child in critical condition was referred to Bettiah.Bagaha SP Rajesh Kumar and Bagaha MLA Ram Singh reached the spot.“It was a sudden accident, due to coming in contact with electric wire. About a dozen people have been injured in the accident and two have died,” the SP said.
