New Delhi: Four people have been arrested and two minors were apprehended for allegedly kidnapping and robbing a biker on the highway in Holambi Khurd of outer Delhi.Police had received a PCR call from the brother of a resident, who was on his way home from work in Shahbad Dairy on his motorcycle when a white SUV intercepted him. He was allegedly overpowered and dragged into the vehicle before being assaulted in the moving vehicle and robbed of his mobile phone and motorcycle. He was later dumped near a temple in Narela, before the accused fled, police said.“As a part of the search operation, CCTV footage from all possible escape routes was analysed,” said DCP (outer north) Hareshwar Swami. “Through technical surveillance, local intelligence and field deployment, the team intercepted and apprehended all six individuals involved in the crime.”The accused have been identified as Ankit, a 24-year-old driver from Sonipat, Harsh, a 21-year-old labourer from Nangal Thakran village of northwest Delhi, Sudhir, a 28-year-old vegetable seller from Sonipat, Sanket, a 19-year-old from Sonipat who works at a private company and two 17-year-old minors, both of whom are from Sonipat.Police have seized the SUV used in the commission of the offence and recovered the mobile phone and motorcycle.A case was registered at Narela Industrial Area police station under sections 310 (dacoity), 126 (wrongful restraint), 138 (abduction) and 3 (5) (common intention) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
