Pune: Two men died, while a woman was severely injured after their motorcycles collided head-on in Jaradwadi village near Baramati on Sunday evening.The accident occurred on the Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Road, around 90km from Pune. The Pune Rural police have identified the deceased as Sharad More (36) from Sonwadi Supe (Baramati) and Dnyaneshwar Walekar (42) from Malshiras in Solapur district. Walekar’s wife Akkamai (39), who was riding pillion, is currently receiving treatment for severe injuries at a private hospital in Baramati.According to an officer from the Pune Rural police, the accident occurred around 4.30pm when More was travelling towards Baramati, while the Walekar couple was heading towards Patas from Baramati.”Their two-wheelers collided head-on in Jaradwadi, resulting in their immediate deaths,” he said.This is the second major accident on this road this month. On July 10, two people lost their lives in an accident when a car jumped the divider and collided head-on with a motorcycle.
