Patna: A man and a woman were killed after their motorcycle lost control and crashed into the boundary wall of a temple in Nawada district late on Tuesday night. The accident occurred on NH-20 near Phulwaria Dam Mor under the Rajauli police station area.The victims were riding at high speed towards Koderma when the bike went out of control while entering a double-lane stretch from the four-lane highway and collided with the temple wall. Both died on the spot.According to police, the deceased were identified as Mohd Mazhar Ansari (35), a resident of Hazaribagh district in Jharkhand, and Shahnaz Khatoon (29), wife of Naushad Khan, a resident of Nawada district. They were distant relatives.Rajauli SHO Ranjit Kumar said, “The motorcycle bore a Jharkhand registration number and the accident took place immediately after it entered the double lane. “Both victims died before local people could provide any help.”The SHO said local residents informed the police and the Dial 112 emergency service. Assistant sub-inspector K K Jha, along with the Dial 112 team, reached the spot soon after receiving the information, he added.
