Kanpur: The Kotwali police in Etawah took two juvenile offenders into custody during a special campaign against crime and illegal arms in the city and seized an illegal .32 bore revolver, two live cartridges and a motorcycle from their possession.According to Kotwali SHO Yashwant Singh, the juveniles were apprehended during a checking drive targeting suspicious persons and vehicles in the Kotwali area. During a search, police recovered a .32 bore illegal revolver along with two live cartridges from their possession.Following interrogation, police initiated legal proceedings against the juveniles. During verification of the motorcycle documents, police found irregularities and seized the vehicle under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act.A case has been registered at Kotwali police station under Sections 3, 9 and 25 of the Arms Act. Police are investigating the source of the illegal weapon and whether it was intended to be used in any criminal activity.Officials said efforts are also underway to ascertain the criminal background of the juveniles and identify their associates and possible links to other offences.
