Hyderabad: Two persons were nabbed by Task Force sleuths for allegedly possessing two illegal weapons and seven bullets in Mailardevpally.Police said Mudassir Hussain from Kilwat in Charminar and Ameer Khan from Nanded in Maharashtra were arrested after being intercepted based on a tip-off while they were travelling in a car in Mailardevpally.During a search of the vehicle, two country-made weapons were recovered. During questioning, the accused reportedly said the firearms were procured through a former jailmate in Maharashtra.Mudassir, who studied intermediate in Hyderabad, later moved to Mumbai, where he came into contact with Ameer, who was already involved in criminal cases. Police said Mudassir, along with Suraj Singh and others, was earlier involved in dacoity in Karnataka and the kidnapping of a businessman.Mudassir had previously been arrested under the Arms Act in Karnataka and Maharashtra. Ameer is also said to have a criminal record. Police added that Mudassir, who was earlier engaged in the resale of cars, came into contact with Ameer and other accused through common acquaintances.
