Ahmedabad: In separate cases, two men have been arrested for allegedly betting during an IPL match using mobile apps in Chandkheda late on Wednesday night. Police said the accused were nabbed during police patrolling near Jagatpur Crossroads. A 28-year-old man from Gota was found suspiciously operating a betting application on his mobile phone near a cafe. Upon checking his device in the presence of witnesses, police found him logged into an app through which he was placing bets on the IPL match between Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals.In the second case, a 37-year-old man, also from Gota, was caught at the same location using another account on the same application to place bets on the match.Two high-end smartphones, each worth around Rs 40,000, along with screenshots of betting activity, were seized as evidence. tnn
