Vadodara: Two men were arrested by the crime branch for stealing copper stock from a closed factory in Gorwa-BIDC on Wednesday, police said.After receiving a tip-off regarding the involvement of one of the accused, Divyang Rana, in the theft, cops began a search operation to trace him. They tracked down Rana and found him with a bag consisting of CCTVs, DVR, internet router and switches. He was travelling on a motorbike with his accomplice as Ankit Selat, police said.When the cops asked them to produce papers of the bike, they couldn’t produce any documents, following which they were detained. Upon interrogation, the duo admitted having stolen copper stock from the factory a few days ago. They said that they also stole the CCTVs and DVR to ensure that no one had a clue about their involvement in the theft.Police registered a case against the duo at Bapod police station, stating that Rana has 14 offences registered against him in various police stations in the city, including burglary, theft, assault and gambling.
