Chennai: Two men lured a 14-year-old girl from her backyard and sexually abused her on the terrace of a neighbouring house in the early hours of Wednesday, at Kalpakkam near Mahabalipuram.At around 3am, the teen went to the backyard of her house when a man took her to the terrace of a nearby building under the pretext of talking to her. He was later joined by his friend, Ajay, who is said to have sexually abused the child.When the girl did not return home for a long time, her father began searching for her. Hearing her cries, he rushed to the spot and rescued her, as the two accused fled the scene. He found his daughter with severe head injuries and rushed her to Chengalpattu Government Hospital for treatment. Police said she is in stable condition and recovering.Following a complaint, Mamallapuram All Women Police registered a case under the Pocso Act and traced Maheshwaran, 20, a diploma student, and Ajay, 28, both of whom were employed at a farm. Police said they had been following the child for quite some time.The accused were produced before a local court and remanded in judicial custody.
