Prayagraj: A joint team of special operation group (SOG) and Kareli police on Tuesday arrested two miscreants identified as Arman (25) and Aamir (26), residents of Kareli on the charges of hurling crude bombs outside a house in GTB nagar locality on Sunday night. Cops also seized three crude bombs, two mobiles from their possession.During interrogation, the arrested persons confessed that they were close friends of one Raja Ali. They further claimed that Raja had been married to Gausia—the daughter of Najma Begum about seven years back but she had left him. Angered by this, Raja wanted to settle old scores with his in-laws.When Raja shared his plan, they agreed to help him and both of them accompanied Raja on Aamir’s motorcycle, carrying bombs, to his in-laws’ house in GTB Nagar. After hurling the crude bombs, they threatened Raja’s in-laws and demanded that Raja’s wife, Gausia, be sent back to him immediately. They then fled the scene. While Raja escaped on a different train, they were also planning to escape to Mumbai before they were arrested by the police. Police is zeroing in on Raja wanted in connection with bomb hurling incident.
