Vadodara: Sayajigunj police have arrested two men for displaying the image of a criminal on an LED screen during a Ganesh immersion procession in the city.The incident took place near Parshuram Bhatta on Friday, when a DJ music system joined a Ganesh visarjan procession. During the procession, the operators of the DJ system allegedly displayed a photograph of Akhbar Sunni, who was booked by the crime branch under the Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organised Crime (GCTOC) Act in Jan last year.Sunni is reportedly a member of the Qasam Ala gang and has several criminal cases registered against him, including attempted murder, extortion, rioting and gambling. He has also been detained five times under the Prevention of Anti-Social Activities (PASA) Act.A video of the incident went viral on social media, following which Sayajigunj police arrested the DJ operators Kartik Agrawal and Mayank Rajput.Police have also seized the tempo and music system used by the duo in connection with the incident.
