New Delhi: Two people died after a wall collapsed at a construction site in Outer Delhi’s Narela on Friday afternoon. The deceased were identified as Ajay (25) and Ram Milan (45).Police said they received information that two men had been brought unconscious to a hospital in Narela. A team went to the medical facility, where doctors declared both men dead. Eyewitness Rampal Ahirwar said the wall collapsed around 12.15 pm in a factory in Bhorgarh Phase-II. During construction, loose soil and a wall structure near a drain gave way, trapping the labourers under the debris. An inspection confirmed the collapse of loose soil and the unsafe temporary structure, pointing to possible negligence. The bodies are at Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital for post-mortem. Police have registered a case under Sections 106(1) (causing death by negligence) and 290 (negligent conduct with respect to pulling down, repairing or constructing buildings) of BNS at the Narela Industrial Area police station.
