KRISHNAGIRI: Two people died and another suffered injuries when the motorcycle they were travelling on collided with a truck on the Harur–Uthangarai road in Krishnagiri district on Wednesday.The deceased have been identified as Ganapathi,19, son of Selvam, and Latha, 40, wife of Sakthivel. Both were from Arasampatti. Latha’s son, Mukil, 20, suffered injuries in the accident.The trio were travelling to a bank when the accident occurred.“Ganapathi died on the spot. Latha and Mukil were taken to Uthangarai Government Hospital. But she died before reaching the hospital,” said an officer at the Uthangarai police station. Mukil, who suffered a leg fracture, was referred to Dharmapuri Government Medical College and Hospital for further treatment.The Uthangarai police registered a case.
