KRISHNAGIRI: The bodies of two men were found burnt on the roadside in the Veppalampattiy and Kodukur areas on the road leading to Rayakottai, near Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri.People in the area were shocked to see the charred bodies and immediately informed the Krishnagiri taluk police.Krishnagiri District Superintendent of Police P Thangadurai conducted an on-the-spot inspection. Inspectors from Krishnagiri, Krishnagiri Taluk, Rayakottai, Denkanikottai, Guruparapalli, Veppanahalli and Maharaja Kadai rushed to the spot after receiving the information. They recovered the burnt bodies and sent them to the Krishnagiri Government Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination.Police are actively investigating to establish the identities of the deceased. A sniffer dog was also brought to the location where the bodies were found, and a search operation is underway.“A special team of eight inspectors has been formed to investigate the deaths of the youths,” the SP said. An investigation is underway.
